Day 2 18th-century Lunenburg and pretty Peggy's Cove Meals B, L
Your Nova Scotia travel kicks into high gear with an excursion from Halifax along the rugged Atlantic coast to the fishing village of Lunenburg, renowned for its rich shipbuilding and maritime legacy; established in the 18th century, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best surviving examples of a planned British colonial settlement in North America. You have a choice of sightseeing today - see the village's 18th- and 19th-century timber-built houses on a walking tour, or visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic - housed in historic waterfront buildings - to gain insights into the Maritimes' seafaring heritage. Also visit Mahone Bay and Peggy's Cove, another picturesque fishing town, before returning to Halifax for an evening at leisure. Lodging: Delta Barrington

Day 3 Historic Halifax & an exclusive evening at the Citadel Meals B, D
After an entire day spent exploring Nova Scotia's provincial capital and the largest city in the Maritimes as you please, join us this evening for an Exclusive - a private tour and dinner at Halifax's venerable Citadel National Historic Site, a witness to 300 years of history offering spectacular views of the city and its celebrated harbor. Lodging: Delta Barrington

Day 4 From Nova Scotia travel to Prince Edward Island Meals B, L
Bid a temporary goodbye to Nova Scotia as you ride a ferry to lovely Prince Edward Island. You'll be mesmerized immediately by many miles of beaches and rich farmland in the interior. Following lunch, arrive in the provincial capital of Charlottetown for a two-night stay; spend time in Charlottetown or tour the fragile sand dune habitat on Greenwich Peninsula in Prince Edward Island National Park. Settle in at your hotel, just steps from Old Charlottetown's boardwalk and Peake's Wharf, late afternoon; the evening is free to spend as you please. Lodging: Prince Edward Hotel

Day 5 Prince Edward Island's Green Gables country Meals B, D
Following a morning at leisure in Charlottetown, set out to discover the wildlife-rich salt marshes and dramatic coastal bluffs of Prince Edward Island National Park. You'll find yourself immersed in local culture later in the day as you visit the Green Gables House, the old farmhouse immortalized in Lucy Maud Montgomery's cherished 1908 novel, Anne of Green Gables. Tonight, cap a very special day by digging into a traditional lobster dinner - a must-have experience on P.E.I. - then attending a performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. Lodging: Prince Edward Hotel

Day 6 History lives at Port-Royal & the Habitation Meals B, L, D
Your Nova Scotia travel resumes today as you depart Prince Edward Island, cross the Confederation Bridge to New Brunswick then return to Nova Scotia once again. Explore colonial life here in the early 17th century as recreated by costumed interpreters and artisan demonstrations at Port-Royal National Historic Site and the Habitation, a reconstruction of one of North America's earliest European settlements. Continue on to a two-night stay in Digby; your hotel was built in 1929 and overlooks the Annapolis Basin and the Bay of Fundy. Lodging: Digby Pines

Day 7 Whale-watching & more on the Bay of Fundy Meals B, L, D
