Day 1 - Halifax, Nova Scotia
Welcome to Canada's Atlantic Coast and the Canadian Maritimes, a land blessed with stunning natural beauty and a relaxed way of life. Visit all three of Canada's Maritime provinces: Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick. On arrival, transfer by hotel courtesy shuttle from the Halifax airport. Rooms are available for check-in after 3:00 p.m. Join the tour operator for an 8:00 p.m. welcome briefing.
Day 2 - New Brunswick, Bay of Fundy
Cross rivers, streams, and marshlands on your morning journey to the Province of New Brunswick. Visit the Flowerpot Rocks at Hopewell Cape. Observe the gradual rise or fall of the Bay of Fundy tides, an average change of 6 to 8 feet per hour. The Fundy Tides are the highest on Earth and rise and fall an astounding 50 feet. Twice each day, one hundred billion tons of water flow into the Bay of Fundy, overpowering the Bay's rivers and reversing their direction. Next, travel over the 8 mile Confederation Bridge to the picturesque province of Prince Edward Island. Pass over gently rolling farmlands en route to Prince Edward Island National Seashore. Enjoy vistas of red sand beaches and bluffs. Watch for red fox and great blue heron. Enjoy a relaxing two night stay at your country inn. Dinner tonight. BD
Day 3 - Prince Edward Island
This morning enter the magical and enchanting world of Anne of Green Gables. Visit the Anne of Green Gables House in Cavendish. Stroll through Lover's Lane and other settings from the literary classic. Mark Twain called the novel "the sweetest creation of childlife yet written." This afternoon, join the tour operator for a brief sightseeing tour of Charlottetown followed by leisure time in the downtown. B
Day 4 - Cape Breton Island
Enjoy a morning ferry ride from Prince Edward Island back to Nova Scotia. Continue to Cape Breton Island and the Cabot Trail, one of the most beautiful drives in the world. See inspiring mountain and coastal scenery en route to Cheticamp. Enjoy a relaxing two night stay at this French-speaking Acadian fishing village, in the heart of the Cabot Trail. The fun-loving Cape Bretoners are renowned for celebrating with traditional Celtic and Acadian music and dance. Dinner tonight. BD
Day 5 - Whale Watching
This morning, enjoy a thriling whale watching cruise (weather permitting). Cape Breton Island's rich waters are the seasonal home to many species of whales. Look for fin, minke, and pilot whales. You may also see dolphins and porpoises. Your afternoon is at leisure in Cheticamp. B
Day 6 - Cabot Trail, Baddeck
A grand adventure awaits you today on the Cabot Trail. Drive throught forests, mountains and valleys in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Breathtaking ocean scenery unfolds as you follow the trail from Pleasant Bay to Cape Smokey. See rugged cliffs and wonderful ocean views. Then to Baddeck to visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, dedicated to the inventor of the telephone. Bell once said, "I have traveled around the globe... and for simple beauty, Cape Breton Island outrivals them all." Bell made his home here. Stay a relaxing two nights in the resort town of Baddeck on Cape Breton Island. B
Day 7 - Fortress of Louisbourg
Morning visit to the crown jewel of the Canadian Park Service, the Fortress of Louisbourg. Enjoy a fun stroll through this 18th century fortress. During July and August, actors bring to life colorful characters and events from Louisbourg's glorious past (limited services in October). Return to the charming town of Baddeck. Your afternoon is at leisure. Dinner tonight. BD
Day 8 - Peggy's Cove, Halifax
You drive south this morning across the Canso Causeway and return to mainland Nova Scotia. Visit with the First Nation people of Nova Scotia at the Mi'kmaq heritage center. Learn about their history, legends and present day life. Continue to the idyllic fishing village and artists' retreat of Peggy's Cove. Photo stop at the classic red and white lighthouse. Next, to the lively oceanfront town of Halifax. Enjoy a sightseeing drive of Halifax before arriving for a relaxing two night stay at your ideally located waterfront hotel. B
Day 9 - Halifax
Join your tour director this morning for a guided stroll along the historic waterfront and enjoy a visit to the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. The remainder of your day is at leisure in Halifax to explore the many fun attractions within walking distance of your waterfront hotel. Farewell Dinner. BD
Day 10 - Halifax
Your tour ends after breakfast. The tour operator provides transfers throughout the day to the Halifax airport. Thanks for vacationing with us. B

Accommodations in the hotels and lodges are rooms with two beds and private bath or shower. A limited number of single rooms are available. Triple rooms are usually two beds, sometimes with a cot or rollaway.
Days 1 - Halifax
Hilton Garden Inn, Halifax Airport
Halifax is the gateway to the Canadian Maritimes. The Hilton Garden Inn is a mid-rise hotel located near the Halifax airport. The hotel offers a 24 hour free airport shuttle. Each room has complimentary wired and wireless internet access, two phone lines, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, iron & ironing board, and hairdryer. The Hilton Garden Inn has an indoor pool and fitness center. The hotel has the Great North American Grill Restaurant (6AM to 10PM), evening room service (5PM to 10PM) and a late night bar menu (10PM to Midnight).
Days 2, 3 - Prince Edward Island
The North Winds, Brackley Beach, is located in rural Prince Edward Island just minutes from Prince Edward Island National Seashore and Brackley Beach. The hotel has an indoor pool. All rooms have modern amenities, including air conditioning, refrigerator, cable TV, hair dryer, and an iron/ironing board.
Days 4, 5 - Cheticamp, Cabot Trail
Laurie's Inn is located in the heart of the Acadian village of Cheticamp, along the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. Cheticamp is the rug-hooking capital of the world and a 200 year old traditional fishing village. Enjoy the invigorating sea air of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and see picturesque fishing boats bobbing at anchor. Laurie's Inn is close to the boardwalk which runs along the harbor's edge. The inn is also know for its lively Acadian step-dancing and music.
Days 6, 7 - Baddeck, Cape Breton
Auberge Gisele's Inn
The inn is located in the quaint town of Baddeck, which is the official starting point of the Cabot Trail. Baddeck's waterfront, a short stroll away, has a vibrant array of maritime shops, cafes and restaurants. The famous Bell Bay golf course is a short drive.
Days 8,9 - Halifax
Marriott Harbourfront Hotel
The Marriott Harbourfront Hotel is located on the downtown waterfront boardwalk of Halifax. The hotel is adjacent to the historic properties, and is connected to the downtown indoor pedway system. The rooms have all the modern amenities. There is a casino, fitness center, spa, swimming pool, and whirlpool for you to enjoy.
The arrival hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport, provides arrival transfers every half hour on the hour, 24 hours a day from the Halifax Airport (YHZ). On your arrival at the baggage claim area, call the Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport using the courtesy hotel phones or call 1-902-873-1400. (Transfers are available for pre-tour arrivals too).
U.S. citizens traveling between the United States and Canada must carry a passport, valid for at least six months past your entry date into Canada. Non U.S. citizens, please check your passport and visa requirements.
Vacation packages include departure transfers from the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront to the Halifax Airport (YHZ) in Halifax, Canada, on the last day of the tour. Please reserve your transfer time the day before your departure with your Tour Director. Allow for a 30-45 minute drive to the airport, depending on traffic.

Professional Tour Directors and local guides will be with you every step of the way, ensuring a worry free vacation.
What is not included in the tour price?
Prices do not include air travel, country entry or departure fees, airport porter fees, visas, phones, valet, all items of a personal nature, food and beverages not on the regular menu and tips to the Tour Director and Driver. General fees and taxes are additional and listed separately beneath each tour's price.
Are meals included?
Included meals for each tour are listed at the end of each day. Meals are shown by B (breakfast), L (lunch) and D (dinner). Most meals are included in the USA and Canada. Full, buffet, or deluxe continental breakfasts are included everywhere. Coffee and tea are provided at all meals. Alcoholic beverages are not included unless specified.
