Cape Breton Highlands National
Park protects 950 km2 (366 sq. mi.) of magnificent highlands and
coastal wilderness in northern Cape Breton. The Cabot Trail, weaves
through the park. The park offers 26 hiking trails, camping, golf,
wildlife, swimming, Cabot Trail look-offs and much more. Interpretive
programs at outdoor theatres in summer. The Cheticamp Information
Center (wheelchair-accessible) offers a large exhibit on sightseeing
and hiking opportunities, nature puzzles and games, a slide show and a
large nature bookstore.

spectacular view of the Cabot Trail. Join us as we set sail to discover
Minke, Pilot and Fin whales in the intimate beauty of their natural
environment. Bird watchers can see Bald Eagles, Gannets and a wealth of
other sea birds along with the breathtaking views of the spectacular
Cape Breton coastline.

They provide, close up encounters with Whales for awesome photo opportunities, knowledgeable tour guides, raingear and motion bracelets (seasick aids) when required, hydrophone to hear Whales sing and underwater video camera.
Tours on our Cape Island Style vessel run 9:30, 11:30, 1 pm, 3 pm and 5pm daily between May 15th and October 15th. The full scheduled 5 tours daily operate from late June until mid September, off season schedule (early may to late June and mid September to late October varies, due to whales ,weather, and demand, call for details.
Whales: From May 15 to late October, they provide sightings of fin whales (75 ft long), Pilot Whales (very similar to killer whales), Humpback Whales, Minke Whales, Sei Whales and Dolphins.
They provide, thermal flotation suits that go over your clothes and covers you from your neck to ankles, it acts as a windbreaker and life jacket and keeps you warm and dry. The best quality whale sightings in Nova Scotia, close up encounters with whales (5-20 feet away) and get you incredible photo opportunities! Comfortable padded seating.
Tours on their Zodiac vessel run daily 9 am – 11 am - 1 pm between May 1st and October 15th. Not recommended for people with neck or back problems or pregnant women.
Fares: adult $39 - children $19 - Tours last approximately 2 hours.

other performers. Workshops in fiddling, piano, step dancing and fiddle
